CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® (U.S. Reg. No. 8,446,637) and CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® (U.S. Reg. No. 8,446,638) are registered service marks of the American Institute of Parliamentarians. The prerequisite CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN® and CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN® credentials are U.S. Reg. Nos. 8,446,622 and 8,446,623.
The teacher course is designed to enhance the teaching skills of AIP members who hold the CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN® credential or the CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN® credential and who teach workshops and classes on parliamentary procedure. Successful candidates who already hold an AIP credential will earn either the CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® credential or the CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® credential.
Earning either teacher credential includes completing an entire teacher course, along with other requirements. Parliamentarians holding designations from other associations may be allowed to attend at the discretion of the AIP Board of Directors, but may not use the CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® or CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® credential until they have earned the CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN® credential. The course is offered at the discretion of the Education Department and taught by qualified staff. The location varies from course to course.

CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® Credential
A member earns the CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® credential once they have earned the CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN® credential and have completed the requirements for the Teacher’s course.
CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® Credential
A member earns the CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER® credential once they have earned the CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN® credential and have completed the requirements for the Teacher’s course.
