The Teacher Certification Course is designed to enhance the teaching skills of AIP members holding Certified Parliamentarian (CP) or Certified Professional Parliamentarian (CPP) credentials, who teach workshops and classes on parliamentary procedure. Successful candidates who already have an AIP Credential will be classified as either a CERTIFIED PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER (CP-T) or a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PARLIAMENTARIAN-TEACHER (CPP-T).

Earning a teacher certification includes completing an entire teacher course, along with other requirements. Parliamentarians holding designations from other associations may be allowed to attend at the discretion of the AIP Board of Directors, but may not use the Teacher certification designation until they have achieved the Certified Parliamentarian credential. The course is offered at the discretion of the Education Department and taught by qualified staff. The location varies from course to course.

The Teacher Certification Packet is found in the Members-only section of the AIP Members’ Portal.
